The order
Stripe Checkout collects your name, email, shipping address, and payment. The card number stays with Stripe. We keep the name, email, address, hat choices, postage, and the amount charged so we can pack the order, ship it, and match it to the receipt.
Before checkout, this site asks for a country and an optional phone number. Carriers use the phone when they cannot find the address.
If you check “Email me about new hats,” we keep that choice with your email and send those notes only when you asked.
This browser saves the in-progress order — quantities, country, phone, and that checkbox — in session storage until the tab session ends. That copy stays on your device. This shop sets no advertising or analytics cookie.
Who else sees it
Stripe processes the payment and sends the receipt. The order is stored with Supabase so we can pack and ship it. Shop email goes out through Resend: the order note to us, and the shipping note to you.
Chit Chats buys the postage. The carrier that delivers the parcel gets the name, address, and phone on the label. The host of this site keeps ordinary server logs, including an IP address and a browser, to run the site and stop abuse.
We use this information to take the order, ship the hats, and answer you. We do not sell it.
How long, and how to ask
We keep an order for as long as we need it to ship, refund, and keep the books. A marketing email stays until you tell us to drop it.
Email sales@unclesemitic.com to see what we hold, to correct it, or to ask us to delete it. Records of a sale stay when we have to keep them. The terms of service cover the sale itself.
